I'm currently working hard to complete "A Comprehensive Dual Bibliography of James P. Blaylock & Tim Powers" — soon to be published under the Argent Leaf Press imprint. James P. Blaylock & Tim Powers are award-winning Fantasy/Science-Fiction authors who have crafted dozens of books and stories of imaginative fiction which have been loved and admired by fans for thirty years.

This will be the most complete bibliography of the published works of these august, veteran Fantasy writers, and they have graciously contributed original materials and information to the project. A leatherbound, limited edition, signed by all contributors, will be issued.

The carefully-reseached book contains new information upon true numbers of limitations of the authors' works, and it will be the first of their bibliographies to list a number of items which have here-to-for remained undocumented and unknown to most collectors and book dealers.

I've read and collected these authors' books since I was in high school, and I provided the Bibliography of the James P. Blaylock website for many years. This bibliography is a great deal more extensive than that list, however. It incorporates a large number of books and other collectible items and documents every single state of every one of their books, including foreign editions. Thumbnails of the covers are included wherever possible. During research for the work, I discovered a number of highly rare gems — books, zines and other publications which contain works by these authors which very few are aware of.

James P. Blaylock and Tim Powers are two of the most collectible authors in fanastic fiction. Early on, both of them began had their works published by small, rare books publishers, and their ties with the "forced-scarcity" industry are important ones, involving many of the most significant figures in the genre. Many of the authors' harder-to-find items consistently command five-figure prices and are in demand with both collectors and book dealers.

Beyond the obsessive documentation of published works, I've also included bibliographies of the authors, a few of the people who have interacted with them or influenced them (they were both friends of the famous SF writer, Philip K. Dick), and a couple of biographical essays by friends of theirs.

So, when will the tome be available? In my enthusiasm for mastering esoteric crafts, I bit off more than I could chew with trying to do the leather binding myself. This has resulted in delays as I have learned the trade and methodically processed the covers in the time-consuming steps required. My search marketing career has also taken time away from the project in the past two years as well. However, I'm making a concerted effort to drive towards completion here at the end of 2008, hopefully in a timeframe somewhere near when Blaylock's newest book, Knights of the Cornerstone, is to be published. Stay tuned!
